SEX in a gay club is so not brown paper bag. Why hide what we all know everyone wants?

"Yeah, I know what easter is. Didn't Jesus move a bunch of rocks and come out of a cave?"

I spent this past weekend in the Valley with Nashlita, her family, and her friends. Who knows when I'll be able to develop the film I have been taking recently, so here are some photos from our cookout on July 4th last summer that are a pretty good representation of this past weekend.

Pico de Gallo...heaven on earth?
I can't remember which were my meatless BBQ alternative that day...the cheeseburgers or the weenies.

Damn, Mexican families eat amazing food during family functions. There are good cooks in my family, but I don't feel any strong cultural connections to specific foods. There are more eating disorders in my family than family recipes...

Party like the Kwakwaka'wakw

I just finished my paper about potlatches, a leveling mechanism practiced among American Indians in the Pacific Northwestern region of the United States and Canada. Potlatches are lavish parties thrown often in the winter by a tribe that has amassed a surplus of food, furs, weaponz, fish oil, and other valuables for a neighboring clan experincing a shortage. The potlatch includes a slammin' feast, dances, songs, totem poles, tattooing of the privledged children in the clan, boastful speeches by the chief about how he's the shit, gift giving, and sometimes if they're feeling really wild, they'll pour fish oil into the fire and destroy other shit.

A friend suggested burnin up a one dolla bill recentley and it sounds like fun.

Some rich folk should srrrsly throw my clan a potlatch. I'll settle for a potluck with my fellow clan members though.
